In order to establish and maintain patterns of independent study, students are expected to do homework on a regular basis.  We value the co-operation and support of parents/caregivers in supervision and motivation, and the provision of adequate study facilities.  Although a student may not be given specific homework on any one night, there is ALWAYS homework expected in the form of reinforcing the work covered that day.  Consolidation of classroom learning is the most important aim of homework.

It is reasonable to expect Year 9 and 10 to have at least one hour of homework daily, and senior students two or more hours.  Of course, practical subjects lend themselves less easily to homework and in some subject work is set on an assignment basis with a deadline for completion rather than a regular set amount each night.
