What a fantastic day! Over 300 swimmers entered this year, twice what we have had in the past.
Each House was colourful and the Grant bagpipes tried to ‘out sound’ the Simmers trumpet whilst the MacDonald and Paulsen chants were great. All in all a fantastic day.
Outstanding again was Jenna Buchanan who is in training for next week’s National Age Group Swimming Championships in Wellington.
Jenna broke all the records in the races she entered including both heats and finals, some by a significant amount. Jenna now holds all the Senior Girls’ Swimming records in the school.
Congratulations to all those competitors who not only gained places but also participated and gave of their best.
Our sincere thanks are extended to those parents/caregivers and community members who provide assistance in running these championships. Without their help we would find it very difficult to run the day. Thank you for your willingness to help.
