Kia ora, Greetings

Tēnā koutou katoa.  This week has seen the Student Council out and about promoting Bully Free Week.  They have done an amazing job organising different activities on each of the days.  It was great to see the many pink decorated cupcakes on Tuesday.  The Student Council had baked 150 cup cakes for the students to decorate. The week finished with a Pink Shirt Day on Friday.  Well done and thank you to all of the many student volunteers for this week.

Many of you might have heard the emergency services on Wednesday.  This press release was issued by Palmerston North Girls’ High School:

On Wednesday, 16th May, Palmerston North Girls’ High School were playing against Dannevirke High School in Secondary School Rugby.  At the start of the first half a student was injured in a tackle in which she sustained a knock to her head. Medical care was immediate and professional.  As a precaution she was airlifted to Middlemore Hospital to access the best advice and help.  The student is well supported by her family, friends and the school.

Dannevirke High School would like to personally thank the Fire Brigade, the Ambulance, Ben our medic and the Westpac Helicopter Trust for all of their assistance.  You were all amazing. Thank you.
