SCHOOL UNIFORM
The Dannevirke High School Uniform is compulsory for all students. The uniform and appearance regulations have been adopted by the Board of Trustees as a by law under Section 72 of the Education Act 1989.
The Dannevirke High School Girls' and Boys' Uniform is supplied by Clothing Zone, 78 High Street, Dannevirke. Lay-by facilities are available.
Second hand uniform is available by contacting the office for details.
Boys - Winter Uniform

| Grooming |
Boys are to be well groomed, tidy and clean. The full school uniform is to be worn whilst identified as a Dannevirke High School student. Boys' hair is to be neat and tidy and cut and kept to the satisfaction of the Principal. As a guide, boys' hair is to be short, no longer than the top of the shirt collar at the back, and the eyebrows at the front.

| Grooming |
Girls are to be welled groomed, tidy and clean. The full school uniform is to be worn whilst identified as a Dannevirke High School student. Girls' hair is to be neat and tidy and kept to the satisfaction of the Principal (delegated to Assistant Principal). Girls' hair styles should be simple. Hair must not overhang the face. If hair accessories are worn they must be either all black, all blue, or all white. Coloured nail polish is not to be worn.

SPORTS TRAVEL UNIFORM - GIRLS
Sports uniform is the appropriate School Uniform for year level and season.
1. Uniforms and Personal Appearance:
It is important that students take a pride in their personal appearance and to that end must comply with the uniform requirements stated in the Prospectus. Students are required to be neat and tidy and clean at all times.

The only jewellery, which is allowed to be worn, is a wristwatch and/or a plain ring. Girls may wear one plain ear stud or sleeper in each ear. |

“Make-up” and nail polish is not permitted. Long fingernails are not permitted. |

Guidelines as to permitted hair length and style will be provided annually
Complete and correct school uniform is to be worn. Students are to carry a uniform pass, which is issued by the Deputy Principal, or Assistant Principal if a non-regulation item is worn. A pass will be issued if a satisfactory note, explaining the wearing of a non-regulation item, is brought to school. |

Any student going away on sports or cultural trips to other venues is expected to wear Dannevirke High School uniform or approved team travel uniform.
