Science education empowers students to explore the world around them — from living systems and physical forces to materials and technology. Through hands-on learning, experimentation, and critical thinking, students learn how science helps explain everyday phenomena and address global challenges.
Our programme encourages students to:
Build knowledge across biology, chemistry, physics, and technology.
Develop scientific inquiry skills — asking questions, conducting experiments, and analysing results.
Think critically and creatively to solve problems.
Understand how science and technology shape our lives, society, and future.
Make evidence-based decisions and become informed, responsible citizens.
Years 9–10: Junior Science
Students explore key topics across Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Earth Science. The focus is on building curiosity, core skills, and a strong foundation for NCEA study.
Year 11 – NCEA Level 1
Science: A general course covering major concepts in biology, chemistry, and physics — ideal preparation for Level 2 specialist sciences.
Agriculture & Horticulture: Introduction to land-based science, focusing on sustainable farming and plant production.
