At Dannevirke High School, our Student Council is a passionate, committed group of rangatahi who volunteer their time and energy to give back—both within our kura and in the wider community. Meeting during lunchtimes, students take the lead in planning events, running fundraisers and choosing causes that matter to them. This is a truly student-driven initiative, supported by student leaders, where the ideas, events and donations are all chosen by students and are causes that are close to students hearts.
The Council is focused on strengthening the culture of our kura while supporting people and organizations that make a real difference. From celebrating diversity and standing up against bullying, to raising funds for charities that help our whānau, the DHS Student Council leads by example—proving that young people have the power to drive meaningful change.
