TECHNOLOGY

Welcome to the Creative Technologies Department

Where Ideas Take Shape, Move, Sparkle, and Smell Like Sawdust

Innovation lives here—in circuits, canvas, timber, pixels, and possibility. The Creative Technologies Department is where students fuse imagination with technical skills across design, technology, robotics and visual arts. We not only think outside the box—we are making images move, cutting it, painting it, wiring it with LEDs, and giving it purpose.

What We Do:

  • Digital Design: Learn how to master design software like Blender and Adobe software.  Take on real-world challenges through collaboration, prototyping, and fearless iteration

  • Woodwork: Turn raw timber into purposeful creations—whether it’s furniture with attitude and beautifully worked resin, or assistive tools for real-world use.

  • Visual Arts: Explore creative expression through painting, mixed media and digital illustration; showcase your process, not just your product

  • Robotics: Create programs that make robots move and lights flicker using circuits.

Why It Matters: Creative Technologies is not one subject—it is a mind-set that allows students to explore. We empower students to take creative risks, embrace failure, and create beauty. Through hands-on learning, collaboration, and innovation, students build the confidence to shape the world around them.

Student Voice: We use student voice to shape our programs.

From Year 9 through Year 13, students can explore pathways that blend creativity with the various creative technologies. Whether you're into robotics, realism, recycled furniture, or logo design—there is space here for your vision.
